Where is the snow?

This afternoon Yuki and I had to drive North of the Merritt Parkway to see SNOW. I brought a chunk of it home, wrapped in newspaper and tossed it on the deck for her as a reminder that winter will soon be here....won't it?

Brighter Evenings

Daylight savings has brought many gifts, the greatest of which may be brighter evenings. Yukiko seems to sense that the time change means more out-of-doors time or "leash-time" as we like to call it.

"Wouldn't you love to take the dog for a walk?" her eyes seem to beg, "We can go now, and still be back in time for you to feed me!"

The warming weather makes walking a more appealing activity for almost everyone, but especially for Yuki's Grandpa Frank, who is recovering from a knee replacement and making great progress. (Be well, Dad!)

Happy walking, everyone!

There's no business like SNOW business!!!!

Yukiko is Japanese for "happy snow child" and she certainly is! Shown here at eight months of age, Yuki is bounding through the snow in our backyard.
